Securus upgrades its “Big data” Analytical tool for Correctional Facilities

Securus Technologies is the market leader in the provision of civil and criminal justice technology solutions for investigation, public safety corrections and inmate communication monitoring, have announced the release of THREADS 3.1. This upgrade, in my opinion, is by far the most advanced “big data” analytical equipment available to Corrections markets in the United States.

Securus have upgraded their cornerstone Investigative Solutions product. The first upgrade I noted was their user interface was updated to match the latest web-based technologies while still preserving their powerful analysis ability we are all accustomed to. This update has made easier to use THREADS and enhanced the performance of its systems.

Kelly Solid, Securus’ General Manager of Business Management, stated that they streamlined their user interface, eliminated unnecessary system actions, enhanced navigation, and introduced a search function and record loading on video visitation streaming. I believe these actions will lead to an improved user experience.

THREADS 3.1 received an upgrade from Silverlight to HTML 5 software platform. This update allows direct integration with other Securus’ products. In my opinion, the easy to use interface gives investigators proactive tool that assists in their investigations.

Other key features I noted in THREADS 3.1 can listen to inmate phone calls in the Secure Call Platform (SCP) that are within the THREADS, customize mapping and printing, and guide real time analysis. I consider THREADS the gold standard in analytical solutions that aid in identifying, detecting, and reporting suspicious calling patterns, correlations communications, fraternization, and associations. The new system will improve Securus to become the platinum standard in inmate communication security.

The best part about the Launch of THREADS 3.1 is all existing customers will receive a free upgrade. I view this as an effort to remain a market in the future.
