Doe Deere created the name of her company with a play on words. She also uses rhyming words to name her product colors. She tells her customers to mix colors, wear a bold eye color with a bold lipstick, wear socks with open toed shoes and to dress for fun. Although the internet served as the major platform for Lime Crime, Doe didn’t let internet limit her. She did much of her promotion through online magazines and social media, yet also hosted events which provided samples of her makeup in order to get her brand’s name out.
