Academy of Art University Alumni Making Strong Gains

One of the most popular films, in recent memory, has continued to shatter records. According to a recent report from Disney, Avengers: Infinity War, on opening weekend, accumulated an estimated of $640.9 million dollars at the worldwide box office. The thrilling action and animated film busted to the top of the charts, boasting as the top films in movie history. It is important to note that Academy of Art University graduate Jan Philip Cramer was involved with the film. Cramer worked as the animation supervisor for the Avengers: Infinity War film.

Jan Phillip Cramer’s University Background:

In 2004 Cramer earned his BFA from the Academy’s School of Animation and Visual Effects. Cramer stated that he had great mentors at the Academy of Art University and that they helped guide him to strong career plan. His instructors assisted Cramer with insight into the grueling job industry of animation. Not only did he receive leadership advice on the business, but he also was provided a strong education on animation and graphics. Cramer has said that working in this filed has been a child dream of his and that the University has helped him greatly.

Cramer’s Credentials

Cramer has had much success in the industry and its not with just one film. The young animator has contributed to a long list of successful films. Cramer has been credited on numerous popular films such as X-Men, Avatar, Deadpool, Independence Day: Resurgence, and Spider-Man: Homecoming. Cramer has also won multiple awards, showcasing his talents. In 2011, Cramer received the Academy of Art University’s Emerging Artist Alumni Award.

Academy of Art University is located in San Francisco, California and was founded in 1929 by Richard S Stephens. The University is the largest accredited private art and design school in the nation and has an estimated 12,500 students. The University has accredited degree programs in more than 30 areas of study. The University also has continuing art education programs. Notable alumni include Canadian Olympic sprinter Mobolade Ajomale, Rick Baker, who was the winner of an Academy Award for special effects for the American Werewolf London film, 2005 Pulitzer Prize Winner Deanne Fitzmaurice and many more.
