Quality processed food with OSI Industries

OSI Group has the most impressive record in its operations that spans for more than 100 years. The food processing company was established by Otto Kolschowsky in 1909 as a butchery and a meat market joint in Chicago. Back then it was called Otto & Sons, but after years it was rebranded to OSI Industries and later OSI Group. Currently, the company stands to be the largest firm, with more than 65 facilities across the world. It was once featured in the Forbes as the largest company. Sheldon Lavin serves as the CEO at the OSI Group and focuses more on green practices and sustainability as well as food safety. Lavin is committed to the growth and expansion of the company by use of strategic sales methods.

Additionally, innovative leadership and practices give the OSI Group expansion benefits. The company has consistently continued to expand through the acquisition of other various food companies in different continents. OSI Industries provides custom solutions in food products as well as high-quality products for retail industries and consumers.

In 2016, the firm reflected expansion by purchasing seven new food facilities which had the same goals and value just like OSI Industries. From the acquisition of Flagship Europe, the company provides food products for new customers in the world market. The clients will get frozen poultry, pies, sandwich, marinades, sauces, among others. According to the President of OSI Group David McDonald, the purchase of Flagship Europe created an extensive market. Furthermore, acquisition of the Baho Food based in Netherlands and Germany has expanded the demand for the OSI food products.

OSI Industries has its headquarters in Aurora, Illinois. The company produces food products rich in proteins where some of them are packed and sold to the retail trade globally and others consumed from their leading restaurants. It has focused not only on international expansion but also for domestic growth. They acquired a food plant in Chicago which used to be operated by Tyson Foods. OSI Group purchased it so that it can retain 500 employees who were about to lose their source of income due to its closure. They have always diversified in their production to meet the needs of every consumer.

However, ensuring such a large company remains at its higher level requires exceptional managerial skills and marketing strategies. Through the years, the leaders have been focused on the goals of the firm. The company has remained close to the people of Illinois and the Ronald McDonald House. ISO is known for its contributions to charitable causes like Feeding America.

Boraie Development Builds More than Just Buildings; It Builds Communities

According to an article published on the New Jersey Stage website the State Theatre of New Brunswick, New Jersey offered a Free Summer Movie Series in 2016. Community members were able to view six different movies for free throughout the season including popular Disney and Pixar films.

The historic State Theatre offered a 46 inch Stewart film screen, Barco projector, projections in HD, and digital surround sound. This was no “cheap theatre” experience, but a real treat for people of all ages.

The Free Movie Series was part of a larger Community Access Initiative. Through this initiative, the State Theatre hoped to provide access to entertainment at its venue with no cost to local community members. Thus, people in all financial situations could enjoy the beauty of the New Brunswick landmark. The theatre was able to offer this series due in part to the generosity of Boraie Development. Check out Bloomberg to know more.

According to NYTimes, Boraie Development is a company that serves the urban real estate market. Manta.com reports that Boraie Development currently employs 35 people and has an annual revenue over $9 million. Their Facebook Page boasts a meager following. Yet this small company has had a tremendous impact on New Brunswick. In the 1970s, New Brunswick suffered neglect of real estate properties and a transient population. Omar Boraie wished to renew the like certain parts of Europe, he told Tom Bergeron of the NJ Biz. People thought he was crazy. But Boraie purchased vacant properties anyway, and set out on his mission of urban-renewal.

The Aspire is one of Boraie’s crowing achievements in the city. In early 2015, Boraie told NJspotlight that he had already received a great deal of interest from potential tenants for the luxury housing development. His next project was a commercial site on Albany Street. Boraie hoped to attract biological and tech companies to New Brunswick. He believed such companies would benefit from being so close to Rutgers University. Visit Central Jersey Working Moms to know more.

Many real estate companies are simply interested in profit. Boraie Development is not one of these companies. Omar Boraie has demonstrated the company’s commitment to the New Brunswick community, and the city is better for it. Perhaps other companies can learn from his example and use their influence to change communities for the better.

Why Oncotarget Is the Journal of Choice for Medical Research Companies

IntraGen recently announced that it published the results of a clinical trial it has been doing on Oncotarget. The results of the study were published on 9th October 2017, and show that there is in fact a relationship between the effectiveness of anti-EFGR treatment and miR-31-3p expression in tumors. This is good news for cancer patients since miR-31-3p expression in tumors can be analyzed, and this can help in the diagnosis of some types of cancer. Professor John Bridgewater of University College London Cancer Institute was one of the authors of the publication, and he expressed his joy and pride in the progress that has been made in the field. Thanks to the evidence provided in the publication, cancer diagnosis can be made much easier and cheaper.

A different article published on Ocotarget revealed that there are some bacteria, known as Methylobacteria, in the breast tissue that might have an effect on the incidence of breast cancer. Women suffering from breast cancer were found to have lower levels of Methyolobacteria than women with healthy breast tissue. These findings might make it possible for women with breast cancer to be diagnosed earlier and therefore increase their chances of survival.

Notable Human, Migrant, and Civil Rights Groups

Today, there exists numerous organizations that fall under the categories of human rights, civil rights, and migrants’ rights. All these groups have roles that are almost similar. All of them want a society that respects the rights of human beings irrespective of the origin or the citizenship status.

The organizations are found in almost every country in the world. Even if there exist states that may not have rights groups, these states remain under the radar of international organizations that have a global outreach. The fact that there are no established rights groups in a country does not mean that the administration is free to break human rights laws at will.

The international community will move in to address the issue. A good example is Sudan. This is a country where human rights have been in jeopardy for a long time due to authoritarian leadership. However, this administration did not prevent the international community from moving in when the people of Sudan were denied human rights by the government.

The international community moved in and investigated cases of massive violation of human rights. This led to the international Criminal Court initiating a criminal case against the leadership of the country.

Human rights are supposed to be universal. There is no limit to which they should be applied. As long as one is alive, human rights apply from wherever he or she may be living. With the numerous cases of human rights violation recorded every year it is important that more efforts be put towards ensuring effective implementation of the rights. Human rights groups are the motivated by the need to create a safe society that respects the rights of the people. These groups usually take to a global platform to highlight cases of human rights violation. Some of these organizations include;

International Migrants’ Rights Advocacy

International Migrants’ Rights Advocacy is a popular group in the world. It has outreach programs in many countries. As the name suggests, the organization deals with matters of immigration. Their role is to stand up for the rights of migrant communities. Migrant communities, especially in the United States, go through severe violations of human rights.

International Migrants’ Rights Advocacy and other friendly organizations highlight the challenges migrants are facing in exercising their rights and freedoms.

The Lacey and Larkin Frontera Fund

The Lacey and Larkin Frontera Fund is an advocacy group that supports organizations that lead in the protection of human rights in the state of Arizona. It was started by Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin, two journalists who co-own Phoenix News Media.

Lacey and Larkin  started the group with money they received as a settlement in a court case they sued that state for violating their rights. They were given $3.75 million. They committed all this money to human and migrants’ rights initiatives in Arizona.
