These days plastic surgery is no longer for the wealthy elite. There was even a time when you wanted plastic surgery you had to make a trip overseas since it was so looked down on in the States. Now we are in a new age and these are all things of the past. Many procedures have become so routine as a teeth cleaning and the stigma has practically vanished.
Here is a little insight to the top three plastic surgeons located in the Lone Star state:
Rod J. Rohrich
Dr. Rohrich works out of Dallas, Texas. He works out of the Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute and the UT Southwestern Medical Center. He is not a native Texan, he grew up North Dakota but he received his degree from Baylor University. He completed his residencies for general and plastic surgery at the University of Michigan Medical Center. He has also had specific training in pediatric plastic surgery from Oxford University.
He joined the Division of Plastic Surgery at UT Dallas in 1986. He has since resided in Dallas and been a board member of the ASPS, or the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Rohrich’s interests are not solely focus on cosmetic plastic surgery but also healing deformities by utilizing his knowledge in craniofacial plastic surgery.
Dr. Walden is highly celebrated in Texas. She specializes in aesthetic and cosmetic plastic surgery. She received her degree from UT Austin but traveled to New York to earn her specialization in aesthetic surgery. She has since re-located her practice from the hustle and bustle of New York City to Austin, Texas. It is in Austin where she owns and runs her fully credited business out of an operating suite in Westlake Medical Center.
She is treasured by the Texas community since there is only a handful of certified female plastic surgeons in the state. She has been recognized in Texas Super Doctors since 2014 and was also mentioned in Harper Bazaar’s “24 Best Beauty Surgeons in the United States”. Dr. Walden is highly interested in women’s health issues and she’s glad she can tackle these issues in her home state.
Dr. Walden has an ever present face in media. She has made numerous guest appearances on many plastic surgery related shows such as Dr. 90210 and VH1’s Plastic Surgery Obsession. She’s also a wonderful philanthropist. She claims her most exciting work has come from working with Austin Smiles, an organization that provides cleft lip and palate surgery to children.
Constance M. Barone
Located in San Antonio, Dr. Barone is a surgeon that gives new meaning to bedside manner. She is a charming, cordial and herfelt woman that is so down to earth that she insists you contact her personally about any questions you may have about a surgery you are having or are just contemplating. She specializes in general plastic surgery but also non-invasive and transgender reassignment surgeries.
Her main work ethic is wanting to help people feel better about themselves. She prides herself on being one of the few surgeons that can perform endoscopic surgical techniques which have been shown to result in less scarring and shorter recovery periods. Dr. Barone is a board certified plastic surgeon. She received her degree from Smith College in Northampton, MA and her doctorate degree from Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York.
She was in the 2015 issue of Texas Super Doctors and for two years in a row she received the Best of San Antonio awards and is now qualified for the San Antonio Hall of Fame.
