Educated was founded in 1951 and became the first Brazilian company to use alternative materials (such as eucalyptus) in the production of its tiles. Early on, Eucatex was merely making soft boards, but it’s innovation led it to expand into other areas such as ceilings and panels. The company rapidly expanded in the following years, opening branches in Germany, the U.K., the US, and Mexico. It’s range of products also expanded. Leading Eucatex since 2005, CEO Flavio Maluf, an employee of the company for over 30 years. His family are the owners of Eucatex. Maluf graduated from Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation and has experience in the field of engineering, law, and as an entrepreneur. He continued his education at New York University, learning about administration. In addition to his work at Eucatex, Maluf is also the president of GrandFood Group according to LinkedIn.
Maluf’s bio shows he started at Eucatex working in the trade section. When he was later promoted to the industrial sector, he was also place on the frame executives. His excellent work and family lineage made him the perfect choice for president of the company. And since then, Maluf has brought improvements to Eucatex, opening new, modernized branches and participating the volunteer and charitable events that maintain the company’s sterling reputation. For example, Maluf spearheaded the partnership with Environmental Education Program, which helps teach the younger generation how and why natural resources should be protected.
